ColorUtility

Let's suppose that you are a web designer who has just created a great website and would like to also create a logo for the name of the site. One such program is ColorUtility. This simple Windows application with an intuitive name can display the color value for any point on the screen, using various formats. ColorUtility doesn't need to be installed and running the executable file is all that takes.

The small and graphical interface of ColorUtility includes a color picker which can be placed anywhere on the screen. With a single mouse click, the program can display the color value and also a sample for any point on the screen. Using this information, the user can see how that color will look when converted to grayscale or negative. Besides allowing the user to find the color value of any desktop point, ColorUtility can also combine different colors, for obtaining some interesting effects. Besides that, it can display all the color values contained by a certain image.

The program is available in several languages and it contains an optimization option, which allows it to run even on old computers.
